Ben Marshall is the Managing Partner of Caird Investments. Prior to launching Caird, Ben served as Head of Liquid Credit at Triumph Financial / TBK Bank, where he founded and built the firm’s investment platform focused on leveraged finance, structured products, bank lending, and private credit. His responsibilities included portfolio management, funding and liquidity, special situations evaluation, and capital markets advisory.
Before Triumph, Ben spent a decade at Goldman Sachs in a variety of capital-committing and trading roles across leveraged finance, with a focus on leveraged loans and distressed trading.
Ben brings over 16 years of experience in credit markets, with a track record of building high-performing platforms and navigating complex investment environments.

Michael Schott is a Partner and Head of Research at Caird. Prior to joining Caird, Michael was a Senior Vice President and Senior Analyst at Triumph Financial / TBK Bank, where he spent nearly six years focused on syndicated loans, direct lending, structured products, special situations, and liquid credit.
Before Triumph, he was a Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst at a long-short credit hedge fund, specializing in performing, stressed, and distressed investments across the capital structure.
Michael began his career in the Financial Advisory Services Group at Jefferies & Company, advising on restructurings, recapitalizations, and M&A transactions. He graduated with honors in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
